GarytheDino Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 Give the KTA program a try. You will be glad you did. At first it is tough on your hands but you will adjust to it real fast. Just stick with it. Quote You Tube Videos http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=dinosaur22840
SqeezeMasterFlash Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 KTA is good. Sledgehammers are good. Blobs are really really good. When I first started I would spend hours browsing old posts and learning what was what. Gave me lots of good ideas. Also, buy both of John Brookfields grip books. They are must haves. Rocksurly Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 Have you tried negatives with a SM or #3 gripper? Quote
Thaibox Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 15 y.o. and closing the #2, impressive. Stick around the boards and absorb as much as possible, and you'll be amazed how much you learn and progress. Good luck! Ray Hansford Posted April 20, 2004 Posted April 20, 2004 I agree, get KTA Quote Ray Hansford Current PB's 15 reps #2 1 rep #3 "If you think you can-You can, If you think you can't-You can't. Either way your right"
HAMMERHEAD Posted April 20, 2004 Posted April 20, 2004 You're closing your #2 for reps. Good. You said your stuck, well, what's your goal? Do you only do grippers? Have you dabbled in the other areas of grip? Hell, have you read Mastery of Hand Strengh? Tell us more and you'll get a better answer. KTA is great. I've done it. However, by reading your post I know basically nothing about your goals or how you train. KTA may be the wrong answer. So tell us a bit about yourself, and welcome to the Board! -HH Quote
tmmicklabs Posted April 20, 2004 Posted April 20, 2004 Well put Brother Hammerhead. Mossman, Tell us what grippers you have and what your grip goals are and we will help you. btw...Welcome to the Gripboard. Quote
mossman Posted April 20, 2004 Author Posted April 20, 2004 as for equipment, right now i have the trainer, #1, and the #2....I just placed an order for the #3, and i bought some blobs......i have a 2 3/8 inch thick bar, which is where most of my work comes from.....my short term goals are to be mashing the #2 for 10 reps, and by my 16th, close a #3....damn that seems far away now though .......thank you very much for the warm reception and all the nice answers.......im glad to be learning something new and productive....i am in your debt now Quote #3 closure- Feb. 23th, 2005 (choker 1 1/2'' set) (ON DEADLIFTING) I WANT TO HAVE AN ASS CRACK THAT RUNS CLEAR UP TO THE TOP OF MY NECK - BEATTY I'M NOT ON STERIODS, YOU'RE JUST WEAK - MIKE H
tmmicklabs Posted April 20, 2004 Posted April 20, 2004 Order a Super Master gripper also from Warren Tetting. It is good gripper to get your from the # 2 to the # 3. Best of luck on your quest for the # 3. Keep us updated. Quote
