wsm_fan_uk
Yet another PR post I'm afraid, but I'm pretty pleased with myself. After around 3.5 months of bending and after a second rate gripper workout earlier in the day, I heard my pile of challenge bars calling. I wrapped up a 206 bar and to my great suprise it went down relatively easily. This represents my best bend to date, I had previously bent a 206 bar over the course of a number of workouts so felt relatively confident (thanks Eric The Red for introducing me to this mindset). I've uploaded some pictures to my gallery for any bending nerds out there
bencrush
Fantastic Martin! I've never tried one of the Challenge Bars (yet). How does it compare to say...the Yellow or the Blue Nail?
EricMilfeld
And yet another "Awesome Bend" reply, Martin! I'd say you're pretty darn close to a grade 5 now! One week after bending my first 220 Challenge Bar I managed to finish off my first grade 5.

wsm_fan_uk
Thanks for the replies guys, I just bought 9 feet of 8mm stock that I am hoping will be similar in difficulty to the stock of the challenge bars around the 200kg mark. I hope to use this to progress towards a 240kg bend around the end of the summer. I'm off out to buy tea towels and a 10lb sledge this afternoon. My biggest problem at the moment is bruising to the heel of the hand, I'm hoping that a new tea towel will help prevent the problem and that the sledge will allow me to train my wrists when my hands are bruised. Ben, I'm sorry, I'm the other way around to you, I haven't tried Ironmind nails - they aren't too easy to get hold of here in the UK. I have heard that blues are anywhere from 170kg to 190kg, my guess based on my experience of UK 60ds is that they come in near the higher end of the range. David Ostlund
Good work. I think the 240 will happen sooner than you think if you keep training hard. Like Eric, my first grade 5 came about a week after the 220k bar. After you know you can bend a certain metal, it becomes so much easier just from the confidence boost.
