JWare Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 I started the KTA program a week ago with a goal of closing the #1 at my first test date. Well, I got ansy and tried to do it today after only a week and was able to close it with both hands and grind them. My question is, should I start the second week with a #2 as my goal or keep training as though going for #1 as there is more volume in the second week. Thanks. Quote
gamidon Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 I would stay with it for now, many may disagree. The reason is to give your tendons time to get stronger. Your muscles will out gain your tendens. Stay with it and continue to dominate the #1. That way when you start going for the #2 you will be able to overcrush the #1 correctly. Quote
Bill Piche Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 I would not move up until it becomes second nature to do this with the #1. If it's in another week where you can do this daily, then rest and start in week 1, phase 1 with the new goal gripper...the #2. Quote
tomricci Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 I followed the KTA to the letter and though I was tempted many times to exceed the exercises, I stayed true to it. I closed the #3 in the final week of the program and just as I started to get good at it, Mr Strossen changed the certification criteria. I closed it, I'm happy I did, I've moved on. If I want to get certified I will do it here. KTA works!!!!! Quote
