Lowes Vs. Home Depot

Finally bought some steel at lowes. I was happy- They had both HRS and CRS, and the CRS is a tad harder, giving me something to do instead of going to really short stuff.

Made my first trip to lowes not too long ago, and I was happy too with their selection compared to HD. It was nice to see clearly labeled C & HRS. They didn't have poop for nails though. Other than timber ties, they jumped from 20d's to 3/8 spikes. :dry

Each location is different, it seems.

The nearest Lowe's to me (L.A.) has no timber ties, and about 10 different types of 60d.

Lots of HRS, as well.

Okay, just got my first serious beding day comparing both. The CRS is much easier than the HRS.

That's strange Bob, I've always found the CRS to be MUCH harder than the HRS. I've bought it from 3 different places so far. But I've heard steel is strange. Guess that proves it.
