FbaLLPlaya_53 Posted April 4, 2004 Posted April 4, 2004 Today I went to Home Depot and got 3/16, 1/4 and 5/16 CRS. I havent bent anything in a few week and by chance hit some new PR's today. I bent a 4 1/2 piece of 3/16 CRS pretty easily, then moved on to a 7" 1/4 piece of CRS, it took me a few minutes but eventually destroyed it. Then I decided to move onto my 5/16 CRS aka The Red Nail. I cut a 11" piece and put a nice kink into it. After that bend I couldnt believe some of the guys here actually bent a Red . jad Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 Yeah I hear ya. I bought some 5/16 and some 1/4 square stock and they were both really tough. I cut an 8 inch piece of the 5/16 and haven't even kinked it yet and I could only put a kink in the 7x1/4" square stock. Quote Proud member of the Feat Cheaters Club! EricMilfeld Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 Congratulations on your new PR's Sean! Do remember that as equally important as stock thickness, is the steel itself. And this includes factors other than simply HRS or CRS designations. Two pieces of 5/16" CRS can be worlds apart with regards to difficulty. Quote
ROBOHANDS Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 Nice PR's. The CRS I bought from Lowes is killer. I couldn't even kink the 7" x 1/4. Quote Ross Baker Worcester, MA Big ain't strong, STRONG is strong!!!
