Jeff Parker Posted April 4, 2004 Posted April 4, 2004 I keep reading about plate curls but I cant figure out how your supposed to do them. I had read on one of the posts while I was searching for a good how to guide that there was a video of someone doing them, but I couldnt find that. It would be much appreciated if someone could either explain it to me or show me where to find that video. Thanks Quote
jad Posted April 4, 2004 Posted April 4, 2004 Here's a link to David Horne performing them. They don't get any better than this. http://www.cyberpump.com/gallery/album109 Quote Proud member of the Feat Cheaters Club! Captain of Crush 2003-2011 Josh Dale Wentzville, MO
ROBOHANDS Posted April 4, 2004 Posted April 4, 2004 I will explain but a video is your best bet if you can find one. Hold a weight plate in your hand, most likely a 25 to start, so that your thumb is on the top side of the plate and your fingers are on the back. I prefer my thumb on the smooth side, but opinions vary. The plate should basically be in line with your arm down by your side with your palm facing forward. SLOWLY curl the plate up with your arm as if doing a dumbbell curl. DO NOT swing and DO keep the plate in line with your forearm for the entire ascent, using finger and thumb strength to keep it there. Hope this helps.
