young'un Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 i normally just read other people's threads, but i figured these were kind of fun photos and worth sharing single link in the chain the whole chain the chain is 12 60d's long at the moment (though i plan on adding to it over time) and can support some weight (ie- it doesn't just fall apart if you give a little tug on it) anyone else ever make one of these? jeff Quote

HAMMERHEAD Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 Nice! Did you chest crush 'em that close? or use another nail as leverage? -HH Quote
Anuwbius Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 yeah, i find I cant get most of my 60D's to stay that close, using only my hands that is. Quote My Gallery Ethan Wolf, CSCS
FbaLLPlaya_53 Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 Nice work on all those 60d's! Ever tried to support any weight off that chain? Quote Sean Fogale Tacoma, Washington If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

young'un Posted April 1, 2004 Author Posted April 1, 2004 (edited) hammerhead, i chest crush them bare-handed, so i can squeeze them closer together. i also try to crush as high up on the nail as possible with just the very heel of my palm, b/c i find this tends to help make them stay closer (ie- not spring back out as soon as i let up pressure). it takes a very long chest crush for me to get them to stay put, so i can't do too many in the same bending work-out for the sake of my hands. when a nail is giving me particular trouble staying put, i'll occasionally put one side on the ground and push down with my other hand with a piece of leather in my palm (lets me put more weight on the nail without hurting my hand) jeff also- nope, never put weight on the chain. i've just pulled on it a bit to see if it was solid at all. if i make the chain long enough or make enough of them maybe i'll try dl'ing with them on the bar or something like that one of these days...probably won't ever try to support anything on it though (the chain's actually fairly heavy considering that it's still only 12 links) Edited April 1, 2004 by young'un Quote
Anuwbius Posted April 2, 2004 Posted April 2, 2004 that is truly very cool, and damn hard! Bare handed crushs all the way!! Quote My Gallery Ethan Wolf, CSCS
