Kicking around having a Record Breaker type event in the spring - anyone help me out finding a rule set for this format?  Thanks!

When people used to ask him how it was he became so incredibly strong, it was always the same, "strengthen your mind, the rest will follow". The Mighty Atom

For GSI @Jedd Johnson or @Eric Roussin can chime in but my understanding was that
- it's a GSI listed implement (in this event list
- lifts are done to 6" knockbar (with some exceptions)
- there is notice and GSI sanctioning fee is paid
- either 4 lift format (like old KK) or rising bar (new KK)
- weighed on a calibrated scale or using calibrated weights
- 2 hour contestant weigh-in window

It's a big job but I'd love to see a list of every GSI tracked implement, which manufacturers are approved or what specs need to be met
(Axle bar for example) and a rules list for the lift (how it can/can't be held).
Also an official standard on how an implement can be added/removed.

Of course there are non-GSI records you can go for too (IronMind, Horne, Joka, Nemesis etc.) which have different requirements.

What I have done for record breakers is choose at least five events I plan to judge. I suppose you could add as many as you want to manage. I build the list of events by adding a few I want and I will contact the likely participants and add their favored event. The participants then have the option to attempt the event or not. I have used both the traditional four attempt format, lately only for World of Grip comps, or last man standing format.

I let Jedd and Eric know my intent, forward an announcement to them and I am done.
