devinhoo Posted November 26 Posted November 26 (edited) Nice work! Double steel bends are fun because you have to think about the position of the nails in your hand. Great practice for bending wrenches too. MyMindsEye Posted November 29 Author Posted November 29 (edited) Finished off two 40d nails taped together that I started a while ago. Attempted a 8mm x 200mm nail, I think I got some movement in it. Edited November 29 by MyMindsEye 1 Quote
BenMorrissey Posted November 29 Posted November 29 Definitely looks like you've kinked it. The 80D nails are pretty much the limit for my wrists at the moment as I do rehab. The fact you're putting some movement into it is good! I will say though, that in my experience the 80D nails are never quite straight, so the first time I touched them I thought I was having an impact, but wasn't. The photo above definitely looks like a kink to me 1 Quote PBs - MMS CoC #3, CCS 137, TNS 131 (RB Narrow), 92KG 3" Pinch, 72KG RT
MyMindsEye Posted 20 hours ago Author Posted 20 hours ago (edited) Got some rated steel recently from David Horne, tried out a 68kg nail to compare to the other nails I have. Felt fairly similar. Bent two galvanized 150mm nails taped together. The sweep felt harder than with the bright nails. Made an attempt at the GoG 5 star bar. Got stuck just before the crush. Need to work on better centring the bends. Edited 20 hours ago by MyMindsEye 2 Quote
