Hi, I'm a grip player from China

I trained for three months to reach coc2 level

I can't set close coc2.5 I'm confused.

1. What technique should I use to train for a new weight?   use other hand to help close hold? negative? I don't know.

2.What should be the main training method for the grip?set close or Closing lock?

I look forward to your answers!

If coc 2 is your current 1 rep max it is not surprising a coc 2.5 isn't just magically closing

Increase what you can do with a coc 2, regarding volume.

How many consecutive reps can you do on your #2?

You may need a couple of extra grippers to bridge the gap. This is the point where calibrated grippers help. I’m at this point myself. Look forward to hearing how you progress.

I would try the 8 sec overcrush. and a wooden strap with a 2 and a half pounder attached to a wooden ruler hold as long as possible with a low rgc coc 2 100. I think that would give you confidence.. as you gain more strength you add 5 pounds...patience is the key

simply training with your #2 would go a long way.  As long as you're doing decent volume work with the #2, you'll eventually work up to the #2.5. Like people here are saying, you can bridge the gap with more grippers, but its not really necessary. I never used any when I close my first #2.5
