BottledCitrus Posted October 25 Posted October 25 (edited) Decided to log the journey to face levering an axle bar by the sleeve. Think it’s definitely doable as long as I stay consistent and accountable to myself. Axle Bar Stats: 7ft total length My Scale has the bar at 24.80. I’m pretty sure my scale is stupid. I’ll need to grab a new one. Diameter 2” where I’m currently gripping. 10-25-24 Started out with my usual battery of levering and warmups but decided to shorten it to save some energy for baseline. I also stretched too. As you can see I did not go for a head touch or kiss the bar or anything like that. Just wanted to lower it as much as I could without a skull smash. Im using tape as a guide here. The tape is a bit wide, so the top of the tape is where the bottom of my hand ends up. First one is 9” from the sleeve stop and second attempt is 5.5” from the sleeve stop. Again I’m measuring from the top of the tape indicating where my hand ends. If we want to see something else thats better let me know and Ill change it. This is just an idea as a guide to keep track of my progress until i get to the sleeve. So I will leave it up to you, my peers for judgement. Criticisms are welcome, as I want this feat to be great and as legitimate as possible. Edited October 25 by BottledCitrus 5 Quote
BottledCitrus Posted October 31 Author Posted October 31 10-31-24 Front to Backs(levers) 3x3 at 3.80, 4.10 and 5.10lbs Regular Levers 3x2 at 13.20lbs Axle Levers 3x1 with my hand positioned at the 5.5” mark. Sup and Pronation 3x5 at 3.80lbs at full length. Notes: Axle was kinda garbage. I think Ill need to take more time in between these workouts for the wrist to build up. Also maybe not use the 13lb edge for that set rep range and not do both hands for warmups. Split the hands into two different workouts until I get acclimated to the workload. I definitely need to get lighter hammers and a build a better bridge in weight. But the other thing to consider is the jump in handle size. The fat gripz dont work here because of the gap. The only solution is to maybe carve out handles using 2” round wood stock. That would suck. Ill be learning as I go. 2 Quote
