Getting back into it after over 10 years hiatus looking to take it serious this time. Any advice?

Hi everyone my name is Steve

I'm looking to start training again

Last time I trained grippers I was 17 I never really felt like I was consistent enough when I was younger , though I did manage to get up to a coc#3. Over the last week I've managed to be able to close a 3 again.

I had alot of health issues after I got sick at 18 and never felt the same again so I  and never really stuck with training.

I always felt it was something I was naturally good despite little training so I'd like to see what I may be able to do with dedicated training.

I've ordered some rated grippers from 148-162 range to compare to my 3 as well as some hands bands and creatine and collagen peptides

Any further advice on trying to improve?

Recovery tips, supplements training equipment etc?

Welcome back to grip training. You closed a COC#3 at 17 that’s way cool. Hopefully all your heath issues are behind you.

looking forward to seeing your progress.

Yeah only took a few months of training

I believe I got around 70kg on a hand grip strength test in grade 11 and that was way above any of the other kids and I was curious how to improve it further.

That is how I first found out about grippers

I've been in a similar situation as you, Steve. I had to take a long time off grippers until I got my health where it needed to be. I still have little hiccups here and there, but I'm doing much better.

That's impressive to reach the #3 that quickly. Im Sure you can get to a much higher level with more time and dedication.

Looking forward to seeing you progress. good luck man👍

Welcome back. Just being 27 vs 17 will give you naturally more strength to start with.

I figured out my password to old account haha.  Actually I'm 32 now so I guess it's been more like 15 years? dam getting old lol :(

Here's a video of me closing a 3 that I made earlier.  SorryI couldn't show the set I had to put phone down when filming and then hold it till I could pick it back up.

My hands and forearms still pretty sore from the day before but il try to rest up over the next few days and get my wife to film me. Maybe I will manage to do a credit card set. My creatine just arrived as well so hoping that will give me a boost.

Also have some new grippers that should be here that are rated at one of them being a 3 so il be able to compare it to the 3 I already have.
