Vinnie Posted October 6 Posted October 6 (edited) I randomly checked GripBoard yesterday and saw that @Blacksmith513 had just messaged me that someone on Facebook Marketplace in Long Island was selling two old COC grippers, one in the package unopened, for $35--and didn't want to ship them. Sounded good to me, so I checked out Facebook Marketplace and the guy lived in my town! In 10 minutes I was at his house. He had an unopened COC 2.5 in the white package from 2006. This, I believe, was the first year they made the halves! The other gripper was unpackaged, but like new, a COC 3 that he said he got at the same time. So I just picked up the COC 3, set it best I could with my still-injured left hand (thanks, shallow double inch pinch ...), and closed it. No warm up no chalk. He said "Holy F word!" And he gave me the grippers for free. He said he was going to put in the listing that if you can close it you can have it, but he didn't think it worth the trouble because no one would be able to. He just kept saying holy f. It was so fun, and now I have these two old COCs. Edited October 6 by Vinnie 21 Quote

Ronkonkoma is a pretty hard name to forget when I looked on the map to see where the seller lived, it was near you. I said I gotta message you. Glad it all worked out. 2 1 Quote
