marko Posted September 16 Posted September 16 (edited) I have been experimenting with tagging my grippers using a 3d printed label that does not require string or get in the way of closing the gripper. Anyone mess with this before else I am open to comments on the image. I have not posted the model files yet as I need to auto generate all possible numbers. Nice thing is I can add lb and or kg on the label. Tag cost is $0.08 USD and takes around 5 minutes to print with multi color. Edited September 16 by marcb 2 Quote
liftyzig Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Cool idea!! I'd be sure to always include some sort of unique identifier, otherwise there will end up being a ton of these with no way of knowing who rated what (that does matter to a lot of people!) Quote https://www.instagram.com/liftyzig/

Great point! I envision a future where all ratings include a UUID (Maybe QR code) for each tag that links to a rating video, ensuring every rating has evidence of how it was assessed. This allows for transparency and guarantees that ratings follow the latest protocols, leaving room for discovering improved methods and materials even with standardized processes. Currently, I’m using a chain hoist, pulley, crane scale, and AASS RGC device on my rogue rack. However, I’ve noticed my new webbing is stretching. I'm exploring ways to eliminate distortion for consistent ratings and actively searching for info on Gripboard and Google. Additionally, I’ve observed interesting differences in torsion spring ratings between the first and Nth reps, likely due to friction and temperature effects. I am probably nerding out on details most do not care about, but I find it far more interesting than work right now Thanks Quote
marko Posted September 16 Author Posted September 16 I do think for a competitive scene you likely want all of those grippers rated by the same source. I am mostly looking for relative ratings between my current collection so that I can grow my abilities. 1 Quote
