liftyzig Posted September 11 Posted September 11 Hi everyone! As a fellow gripper enthusiast, I’ve been working on a new project I've named Gripperpedia—a community-driven wiki focused on hand grippers, their history, and rare models. I’m not here to replace anything, but to create something that complements what we already have and love. Your insights and contributions would be invaluable. If you’re interested, I’d love your feedback and collaboration to make this resource as comprehensive as possible! The site is https://www.gripperpedia.com let me know what you think! 19 Quote https://www.instagram.com/liftyzig/

dubyagrip Posted September 11 Posted September 11 Cool! You're on a roll lately between this and your gripsport.org improvements. 4 Quote I am good at grip.
matek Posted September 12 Posted September 12 (edited) Very cool!👍 I also registered. Since you've asked for feedback: 1. I'm looking forward to seeing brand timelines (for me, that's one of the most interesting things about gripper brands). 2. Over time, including lesser brands could be fun as well 3. Categorizing the brands or specific grippers by their characteristics can be useful if someone is looking for a particular gripper (e.g., spread, production year, handle material, not in production, type of spring, special or limited edition) 4. Multiple threads on the Gripboard could be used to make specific pages, including the timelines, and certs, also there were discussions on narrow vs. normal spread gripper ratings, resources, training etc. + minor, but my password manager is set to create new passwords of 24 characters (and it's up to the password rules of the site: "Password must be at least 8 characters long and contain letters, numbers, and at least one special character."), and it didn't work at the registration. 16 characters worked. And that's fine, just maybe mention the range at the registration screen. Edited September 12 by matek 3 Quote

As far as everything else you mentioned, I fully agree, and.. it's a wiki and that is all content stuff that you, as part of the community, can add, edit, alter, improve, etc. (and thats kinda the point of it 😄 ). I added a "Discussion" link to the site, so that conversations can be had by users there,, not sure if it'll be useful or not but I'm trying things out, it's evolving for sure. Thanks for the feedback! 2 Quote https://www.instagram.com/liftyzig/

It's very important that we don't plagiarize or "steal" content from sources like Gripboard. Those posts and the information that was created belong to the people who wrote them and Gripboard. Sources can be referenced, but they shouldn't ever be directly copied from, I hope that makes sense. I really want to make Gripperpedia comprehensive but I don't wan't to open up a can of worms as that expense. 2 1 Quote https://www.instagram.com/liftyzig/
