You're almost closing a coc 2, for a woman that is far from noob. Do you know the rating of it? Are you planning to certify?

It is great that more women are getting involved in grip sports.  And you are doing great -- those lifts/closes are stronger than many folks (of any gender) who are bigger than you.  Keep it up!

Strong lifts, Metallica, hell yeah I like where this is going :rock

Great to see you here.

@C8Myotome Maybe Anna can confirm if it's the same gripper, but another video shows a 98 tag.

Hi, thanks for the warm welcome, yes it’s a 98, right now I can just hold the silver bullet for few seconds, but I’ll get there sooner or later. I still suck at setting so I think this will take a bit. Furthermore I’ve got small hands (16,5cm) so yeah wide sets are kinda a pain. I plan to certify yes, I managed to close a gog 3, block set. Sorry if I don’t reply fast but it seems like I just have a single post per day.

not too bad if this is you with the flu,it would be cool to see what you can grip when you’re 100%

Excuse me but I must comment what others have already said; You are far from a ”noob”.

Seriously, those lifts and gripper closes are awesome. Do you have any manual labor job history or something that you did before getting into grip because your strength is super impressive.

Goals: Grip Genie 5 (deep set), CoC #2 (CCS), IM Red Nail (DO, single pads).

Hi thank you, my only “manual labor” (can we actually talk about labor?) is just drawing (I’m studying visual arts). Idk… I always feel like I’m not doing good enough 🥲 about my journey at the gym I’ve been practicing some CrossFit for about eight months, then I started to get more interested in compound lifts before knowing about grip sport. 🥹

Good work. It's really nice to see a female actually training grippers here. I think it's the first time that happens in my 10 years here.

Keep it up, you will get that cert for sure if you stick with it.

Hi, today was just grip day.

Started with a with a light session of bench to try and wake up my nerves.

Then coc 1 try deep set, not bad with left hand, but still I suck with setting with the right one (dominant, serous bro?)

Left hand attempt:

as I got pissed for the missed attempt I switched to a slightly heavier gripper (Achilles gog 200lbs, 88 rgc), with narrower handles. Tried both hands:

Right:

Left:

I got that after a shoulder injury I’m not the best at deep setting. For the right hand I feel better with larger sets (ew MM is large enough right?) while the left feels well with deeper ones.

Still so much to do.

Armlifting part, light amrap with a 60mm smooth block that made me question why tf I’m doing this, attempt at 1rm of vbar (bw) hub hold and rolling.

Vbar:

this bar is a shorter version used for gbi certifications.

p.s. Yes the tshirt is the same I wore yesterday for grip workout. Turns out I somehow perform better with badass tshirts.

Hi, posting again after a while, I got a brand new CoC 1 to see if there was some difference with the one I usually use.

Looks like I can close a normal one but still have some work to do for the other one which is on roids and wide af.

First closes on brand new gripper is usually harder until they break in and lose some spread/rgc. Must be a fun gym if they're playing Amon Amarth

Hi, posting a tns silarukov 50, rgc 60lbs. Sadly I can’t remove the tag as it’s been glued on. It means that I can’t certify 🫠

Tell me more about this. The loop of string is glued? You can't just chop it off? Why does the tag disqualify certification? Just curious :)
