There are only 6 individuals who joined the board earlier and have more posts. I put a band-aid on this for him. He will be able to receive another roughly 600 messages. After that, the limit is just the limit. The GripBoard is an interesting beast. I know from talking to INVISION that we are one of the oldest communities on the platform. There have been so many updates, revisions, total redesigns, features that have come and gone, plugins that are no longer supported, etc, that very few communities are as cumbersome as this 23-year-old. So there are all sorts of weird cases like this where it was probably possible to receive a bunch of messages before there was even a limit. And the limit has probably changed a zillion times. It looks like in this case he was impacted by a limit change at some point, who knows when, and then was suddenly at 300% of capacity. Cannon
I split these two posts off into a new topic because I think it's interesting. This type of information (post count, join dates, etc) are public knowledge on the forum. The first 10 members EVER in order: Bill Piche Solan 3Crusher (Steve Wiener) terryduty vikingpower BarBender Tom Black visegrips Bearcat 74 (Heath Sexton) Tou Of those 10 members, the most active by far are Bill Piche and Heath Sexton. The beloved member Sybersnott who famously started the welcome thread missed that list by 2 people. He was number 12. 7

Cannon
Someone who BARELY missed both these lists (first members and most active 2001 sign-up) is bseedot. He is one of the few members with custom flair which says "Stoic Blobster". Cannon
Along the lines of how this came up, this is a list of longtime active members with post count and join date. Cannon
I feel this deserves mentioning. John Knowlton would have been #21 on the list above. It's impressive because he has a join date in 2015. With only a couple exceptions, pretty much everyone on that list joined prior to 2008, a whole 7 years earlier. Further, John tops the list for rank (the points system from interactions such as replies and giving/getting reactions). In fact, John and one other person effectively sit alone at the top of the rank list and they are neck and neck! John Knowlton 39,733 pts Blacksmith513 39,637 pts Cannon 22,827 pts matek 22,310 pts Douglas Carney 19,641 pts Vinnie 13,642 pts Nuttgens 13,535 pts stranger 12,991 pts dubyagrip 12,095 pts DevilErik 11,796 pts Honorable mentions for this list are C8Myotome, mcalpine1986, Kluv#0, Jared P, Bigfoot Grip, Bill Piche, Alex K, Fist of Fury, Terry Conjugate Iron, EmilBB, AdriaanRobert96, ZRMMA, DoctorOfCrush, and Londonjoseph. 9

I joined April 1st 2004 and no that’s not a joke haha Yes, the criteria was “joined by 2005 year end and then sorted by post count.” So you just missed the list of 10 with ~3516 posts. But you made the honorable mentions. You’d be on a list of 20 it looks like.

David_wigren
This tugs on my nostalgia strings. Many a few of those names I’ve not seen in a long time. I think I actually first joined late 2004. Might have posted a few times. But then I forgot my sign in and couldn’t recover my password. So I started a new account in 2005.
