bdckr Posted August 28 Posted August 28 (edited) Does anybody else remember the Vulcan Deathgrip? It was an adjustable gripper made by member @dubthewonderscot, who hasn't been on the gripboard for a while. I tried searching for his original posts where he was planning on making them, but not having any luck. I did find this article about it, where he comments that he had a few unfinished pieces, and that it was just too much work to be cost effective. Can someone with better search skills find the original threads on the gripboard? I'm curious about how many were actually made. Even better is if Weldon saw this and chimed in himself. One of the most interesting innovations that never got adopted by anybody else was the vertical grooves instead of knurling on the palm side handle to improve traction. Cannon Posted August 28 Posted August 28 I also could not find much and I'm pretty adept at looking. This topic could have been a casualty of the board previously not allowing non-sponsor product attention (although it was endorsed by Horne), or maybe he was trying to effectively set up shop and it was pulled (which I don't think he was), but either way I searched the deleted area where that stuff would land and found nothing. I can only even find one occurrence where Weldon mentioned the word "vulcan" and it was offhand in a thread about who owns an Inch Dumbbell. If you ever frequented Grippermania or Horne's forum, the posts could have been there. Both seem to be defunct now. Quote
Aroostook Barbell Posted September 3 Posted September 3 I have a very old ‘crude’ steel version I believe to be made by David Horne. 2 bummers… 1, I think I have given it away (as I do) lol and 2, I just realized (this morning) it might have been a very early run made by him. The worst part is I can never remember who I give sh!t to! 🤣😫🤷♂️ 1 1 Quote
