DoctorOfCrush
I realize that the real answer to this question is get incremental Inch dumbbells. However, I want to see what people think about the various implements out there for training for the Inch Dumbbell without having multiple increments of Inch. In my head, I break down the options into three categories: rotating handles, wrist wrench type devices, and loadable dumbbells. I would imagine that the loadable dumbbells would provide the best feel in that they would have similar centers of gravity and ranges of motion. Here are some of the implements that I am currently considering: (AA = Arm Assassin) AA Inch/Axle Wrench (or something similar) AA Holle-It-Up Dumbbell AA Revolving Loadable Dumbbell Napalm One Hand Nightmare with offset handle Loadable Inch trainers (a la FBBC) Regular ole 2 3/8" rotating handles For people who have trained on real Inch dumbbells (baby, full, everything in-between), which of these seem the most similar or the best for training? I realize this has been asked a few times, but with the advent of newer implements, I'm wondering if people have changed their opinions or if newer folks have different insights.
Climber028
Take with a grain of salt because I'm miles away from lifting the inch, but my two picks would be wrist wrench and offset dumbbell handle. The torque is so hard to reproduce and those both do a great job

I bought two exhaust pipes and cut them to the length I wanted. Then pumped a ton of glue in between the pipes and let them sit for 2-3 days. I’ve ordered my self an inch, but I’ll probably keep using this for lighter and heavier loads.
Blacksmith513
The crusher 2.5” or FBBC inch handle are my two personal favs… crusher handle feels like an inch bell handle, is solid steel, takes chalk great. It’s a beast. But unless you stand on blocks or using short loading pin you loose rom. the FBBC handle loaded up with standard 10lbs plates feels close to an inch. Really I’d recommend both. To train for the actual inch. I recommend buying actual inch bell. A 2.5”crusher handle to train on and the FBBC pro dumbbell handle to keep a fixed weight only upping when you get stronger.

Yeah, I like these style of loadable dumbbell. I wouldn’t be able to fabricate something like that, but I like the FBBC one. 8 hours ago, Climber028 said: Take with a grain of salt because I'm miles away from lifting the inch, but my two picks would be wrist wrench and offset dumbbell handle. Sounds like I need to try out a wrist wrench too.
