is it still possible to certify on the GHP7, even though Wade dissolved the company?

i believe anyone that owns a GHP should get the chance to, in spite of...but thats just my opinion...

If the governing body that authorizes a certification does not exist then the cert is impossible not an opinion just definitions. People can still do the feat but they would have to call it an unofficial cert, or someone can start a new organization and an updated certification list to be tracked and verified but I'm not sure why anyone would do all that work for free

No, they were a privately owned company, and closed/retired, they don't have to do anything. You're more than welcome to upload a video of you closing a gripper, but that list is permanently closed.

I also hope another future cert would not use these same rules as Tiziano already showed how a chinese spring can be bent outwards to make it look wider like a GHP at first so it passes the digital micrometer spread measurement *before* the close, closing it, using 2 hands to pull the gripper open then hiding it as soon as possible to hide it from returning to being narrow

GHP cert should have mandated all measurements were done after the close. I don't have reason to believe anyone else on the leaderboard did this, but the fact this leaderboard is frozen in time for eternity with a well known fake cert on it is quite a bummer.

i agree with this whole Tiziano Con Man situation messing things up for the people that genuinely care and want to prove they can actually close the heavier grippers...i believe a good measure that is not as easy to fool is using a dyno device to measure and record the force to close the gripper before the actual close...just throwing an idea out there..

only reason i asked is, because i believe seeing some post about Matt possibly taking over the list ( i guess may have been Wade entrusting the list to Matt, for future GHP certs...or something of that sort, but i could be wrong) and if something like this happened, it would be great for people that have a GHP who never had a chance to certify...again, maybe just wishful thinking...bah

The idea was suggested and pretty quickly ruled out, no new ghp grippers available makes it an unequal playing field if not everyone can compete at it, you can't get a ghp block anymore, there's just no reason for ghp certs to be an active thing anymore.

Running a cert list takes time therefore it is a financial expense and work, and with no grippers being sold it would be charity work

I think many people realized ghp7 was the easiest entry level cert a little too late. You had to be there I guess. I was able to cert ghp8 before it closed which was a big goal of mine

There is a Robert Baraban TNS cert that’s active and is really fun! They use N series RB’s so the spread is perfect for TNS. I just did my 300N TNS a couple minutes ago.

The ratings are:
RB 210C: 92lbs
RB 240C: 121lbs
RB 260C: 123lbs
RB 300C: 143lbs
RB 330C: 165lbs
RB 365C: 176lbs

The C stands for certification of course.

There's also gods of grip certs which are easy...30 mm or tns, although there is even less rules than ghp had, and tiziano is still on their list, so take that list with a grain of salt.

I just checked and the GHP website is also gone, so idk how you would even find the old leaderboard

Wade asked me if I would host the list somewhere and I said yes. But we never coordinated that before he took his site down. If I can still get the information then I was going to host it at either Cannon PowerWorks or the gripboard.

Is this what you are searching for? This list is of last year's June. I got it from the archives.

Edit: We can see the naughty Tiziano still on the list. Carl later did topped the list with a GHP 10 1 rep close on the 15th of September 2023.

I'm assuming that means just posting a screenshot or the latest PDF file and not acutally judging/granting new certs

This is a very old outdated one. The most recent one had me at spot 36 when the company closed

I tried finding it but couldn't, even in the archives. I am pretty sure someone, or even Wade has the list.

I looked on the Wayback Machine and unfortunately the pdf wasn't archived there.  😔
