SteelCable5555 Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Question for you guys. I know strand pulling is a rather odd topic, but as far as I could tell, it is most talked about in grip strength communities more than anywhere else these days. Would anyone know where I can find a strand pulling competition? I've been training for a while and it only recently realized this wasnt a common competition. Thanks for any help! -Dan 1 Quote
Blacksmith513 Posted August 1 Posted August 1 (edited) Not sure of any. Perhaps in England they still do. Would be cool to get it going back here in the states. What are you training on for strands? Edited August 1 by Blacksmith513 Quote
Climber028 Posted August 2 Posted August 2 I know of this but only from old books, never seen or even heard of a competition though at least not this century, seems like it would be really hard to make a good rule set 1 Quote

In England there was an "official set", but I believe they were custom made to the strand puller, as everyone has a different arm span. On the real good old ones they'd have rope on the inside of the cables to prevent overstretching. David Horne owned a competition set but has since sold it. Heres a link to a good read about Strandpulling. http://ditillo2.blogspot.com/2023/09/ Quote
