rhodowulff Posted July 30 Posted July 30 I've been training strength seriously since May '24. And for a month now (June-July), I've started a personal journey: fix my weak wrists. For a while I worked at a local hardware store, in my extremely small town in south Chile. There, we sold rug that was stored in 4 meter rolls. The weight of each of them was about 120kg. Me and my coworker had to grab the rolls, pick them up, get them to a second floor and place them on a display usually pretty tall. Long story short: more than once I thought my wrists were gonna dislocate. Doing this extremely irregular and potentially ilegal activity, I could feel my tendons, nerves and conective tissue stretch to a limit. And then, even years after that job, I could feel a discomfort and pain in my wrists when I put them to use, which can be a lot when you just live a normal life. When I started lifting weights, one of my concerns were my wrists. As I progressed through weights and sets and reps, I noticed the discomfort became lighter and lighter. Then I deadlifted 100kg conventional and I felt it again. There they were: my weak wrists. I decided to put and eye on it. Then I discovered grip training, gripsport, odd weights and decided to give it a try while focusing on my wrist mobility. A month later and here we are. I started a YouTube channel to document my process and a TikTok account to upload the training. July 29th, my wrist are stronger than ever and my forearms are getting thicker (@ 164cm height) I will log my progress here and in my channels. Thank you! 4 Quote
rhodowulff Posted August 18 Author Posted August 18 8/18 New Equipment! Last week I got a couple of hand gripers from Aliexpress. I have been using them for a couple of sessions of grip training with weights. I have noticed a minuscule growth in my forearms and, of course, stronger grips and wrists. 2 Quote
