DrBartlebee Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Does anyone know of some good exhibition-style grip feats? I am looking for stuff that someone who doesn't do grip would intuitively understand is difficult. These should be things that have been done or are in the realm of possibility for a human. Some examples: Bending nails/bolts/horseshoes/rebar, etc Snapping keys in half Crushing apples, raw potatoes Breaking pliers by squeezing the handles Crushing walnuts with a thump and forefinger pinch Tearing phonebooks/decks of cards This is for fun only, I know it is not legitimate training. Think old timey Strongman exhibition feats. Quote Ht: 6'2"/190cm Wt: 190lb/86kg 2024 Goals: Cobalt rgc 162 #3 Cert 1-arm pullup Red Nail Cert
Fist of Fury Posted June 10 Posted June 10 (edited) Bending a frying pan, it doesn't require any protection, so it looks more impressive. Crushing an apple, yes, although it's not hard at all if you choose the right kind of apple. Splitting a raw potato with your fingers, yes but it's actually way too hard, people will not understand how hard it is. Breaking walnuts, yes that's a good one. Tearing a deck or card and a phone book also a good one. Breaking pliers by squeezing the handles, I don't think I would care, seems too gimmicky to me. Bending a hammer is a good one too. degradated Posted June 12 Posted June 12 A guy that sold me Silarukov grippers (who is not a Gripboard member), is able to tear two decks (108 cards) at once. Apparently he holds the world record in this. There's a whole card tearing society I wasn't aware of... Here's a video of him doing the tear: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C2WQjO7gvt1/?igsh=MTc4MmM1YmI2Ng== 3 Quote -Ryan Shinvill- 43 | 6'3" | 198 lbs Achievements: TNS: 1̶1̶7̶ CCS: 1̶2̶4̶ MMS: 1̶3̶5̶ ̶ DS: 1̶4̶4̶ IM Hub: 6̶6̶.̶6̶ ̶l̶b̶s̶ IM Block: 8̶0̶.̶6̶ ̶l̶b̶s̶ GG Hilt: 1̶9̶0̶.̶4̶ ̶l̶b̶s̶ GM-150: 2̶4̶0̶.̶9̶ ̶l̶b̶s̶ 2025/26 Goals: MM160 Cert, CoC3 Cert, CTD Cert, 265+ on GM150 IG

But because I thought I couldn't do it, I didn't bother filming it. 4 Quote Goals IM Hub 50kg/110lbs IM Pinch Block 50kg/110lbs Axle 180kg/396lbs Double Inch DB lift COC#3.5 cert
