Roark
Wonderful! So far as I am aware this is now the record! Think of those who cannot stand erect with the Inch, double that difficulty, then take a few steps forward. Wonderful!
Bill Piche
Is Jeff a member here? I can't remember.
Roark
Hey Wannagrip! If he is a member, perhaps in the Grip Board records section we need to add the Inch Farmer's Walk?

Roark
Brian, How did Jeff rate the double deadlift portion of this lift- was it brutally hard, moderately? What other farmer's walks has he performed on more standard handles? His bodyweight? Height? etc. Thanks. Oh- and thanks for the names of the witnesses, the date, the time, the location- THAT'S how to report a feat!
Bill Piche
Looked easy to me Joe. I just watched the clip!

Think of those who cannot stand erect with the Inch, double that difficulty, then take a few steps forward. Wonderful! I dare say that it's even a bit more difficult than that. Picking up difficult implements simultaneously is more difficult than picking up those same implements separately with each hand. BC. He's never tried to farmer's walk with them before so I'm sure that with some practice he'll get much better. I may leave my Inch replica at his gym over the winter for him to practice. Jeff is about 6'4" or 6'5" and weighs around 235 right now. As a NASS competitor he's done plenty of good regular farmer's walks. I've left him a message to get more accurate details for these questions and I'll update this thread when I know more specifics. BC.

Bill Piche
I was so excited and working to get it up so fast that I originally had the picture captions where I said "left" hand and it was "right"!

JeffPeterson
It was really cool to see today. Jeff also deadlifted the inch with 5 extra pounds attatched. Brian and Matt brought both inches because our other training partner was going to try to walk with them, Joel Sward,. The otherday I brought my 2.5 inch dumbell to the gym. I asked Joel to try it. He got up to 170 and I asked how it felt he said " it felt kinda light". He then lifted 180 swung it around by his hip held for a couple seconds and then set it down. Maybe he'll try the inches in the future. I also think another MN guy could probably do it. Wade. Having all these great thick bar guys in one state sure keeps a guy humble. Jeff B. still holds the record at 4.5 feet. Edited September 28, 2003 by JeffPeterson
Guest chips
Thats some amazing strength. he's got an artery on his forearm thats about to burst!!I'd be amazed that someone can lift that much weight without their kneecaps giving out. Roark
It just struck me that those not aware of the Inch 172, who hear of Jeff's farmer's walk, would have an entirely different response than would those who are aware of how the Inch 172 feels, to the headline: 'Farmer's Walk Winning Distance, Five Feet!' From Sep 27, 2003 until ??? Jeff owns the record!
