I Got Cerified Today.

Well for those of you who read my other thread you know I was nervous about getting certified. As it turned out I had nothing to worry about. Today Mike Gentry the S&C coach for Virginia Tech witnessed my close. True to what everyone told me the adrenaline rush made everything easier. First I slammed my 3 closed right handed so hard I thought I had brought the wrong gripper. After that I did something I had never done before and closed it left handed which also seemed rather easy at the time. Coach Gentry was a super nice guy. After congratulating me he let me play with his grippers. His were older models with metal handles instead of aluminum and they were heavier. He said he wasn't sure but he thought they were 5-6 years old. His #3 was a great deal harder than mine but I managed to close it on the first try. My winning streak came to a close when I tried his #4 and just barely got it to parallel. After that I got to walk around and lust after the VT weight room which was full of monster power racks, lifting platforms, and Eleiko bumpers. All in all it was a great day and I just wanted to say THANKS to everyone on this board who gave me advice especially the KTA'ers. Now I just have to get my pictures developed and I should be good to go.

Congrats SavageWood.

Looks like you got certified by the same guy that certified Dave Morton.

Very cool.

My real name is Terry Amos. Yeah tmmicklabs that was the same guy who certified Dave. He told me Dave and myself were the only 2 people he had ever seen close a #3. Speaking of Dave,he contacted me recently and we are planning to get together to train some day soon. If there are any people on this board in the southern Virginia/northern North Carolina area who would like to join in it would be great to meet some fellow gripsters.
