Gripintime2
http://www.ironmind.com/griptip.shtml Seems like a nice variation on a 'strap' style lift....but with more wirst. Can't wait to try it!!!

Gripintime2
I was wrong.......Just did a good workout with the pliers lift...... Nothing like a strap lift at all......very similar to brick lifting......but hit a different part of the wrist and forearm. Feels good, though. Gripintime2
Just one more thng about this lift....it was pretty fun to play with. Regarding the write up about having this also be an asset to 'crushing' .... When I did it with a thin board and pliers....it was like lifting a heavy frying pan. Seemed like all wrist....and I could put on heavier weights. Then I put the weights on a 2"x4", about 18" long....big difference! I used a smaller pliers...what a WIDE SET...this really forced me to squeeze hard with the ring finger and pinky. This is where I think it could be useful for that 'final close' portion of the crushing range. Just my two cents. Thought I'd share. offroadbiker
I played with this one last night using a 3/4" by 8" by 18" shelf board as suggested. I found it worked my hand more than the forearm/wrist. I used adjustable pliers so there is a wide grip and a narrower grip that felt similar to being say 1/2" away on a gripper. This was a fun exercise most of all!
