Guest Jeff Roark
I know certain subjects are beaten to death but just wondering if anyone here is really busting ass on this equipment and what gains are you seeing? I am just now getting back into grip work and it is going to be my main "squeeze" so to say along with my thick handled dbell. I plan on doing some occasional gripper closes, enough to maybe help close the small gap I lacked on Heaths #3. Also if anyone is using the roller what poundages are you shooting for? Guest wells
I have layed off doing heavy weighted sets on my wrist roller. I was using 20-27 lbs. for my Unsupported Standing Wrist Roller exercises but wasn't seeing much improvement. I was also beginning to feel it in my shoulders and back. I am now using @ 5-10 lbs, for high reps until failure without sacrificing technique and body posture. Three to four sets twice a week is my current schedule. I am simply winding up and down, alternating sides and varying grips, until I can't go no more. I think it is working as I am seeing some growth and strength gains. The burn is much better this way. Maybe I needed a change... Edited July 21, 2003 by wells
