Buccos1 Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 I've been training grippers for about 10 years and it's never been easy for me. It took me almost 2 years to close the #2, and then a long time after that to finally get the #2.5. There was a long time I thought I'd never come close to a #3, but I always had my sights set on it, thinking "Stay the course ... someday!" I've been doing KTA for just over a month now, and have had some spikes in crushing power lately, but haven't felt great in weeks. I've been getting close (.5 - 1mm) lately, and have started filming all of my warmup attempts, as I knew it'd be happening soon. I'm hoping to destroy this same gripper very soon, and then close my 144lb.. #3, then go for the MM0. I wasn't 100% sure the handles touched, but after going through the video, close-up and slow-mo, there were 2 points it looked liked they touched. The handles weren't smashed (hope to be there soon), but I think this is the first "real" close of a #3 I've ever gotten. Doing RRBT and KTA has definitely made a difference for me. I think it was exactly what I needed to go from the low-130s to the upper-130s, in a relatively short time. 15 Quote 2023 Goals Huge Golden Bastard - DU Big Bastard - DU Bodyweight Press (semi-strict) 2.75 x Bodyweight Deadlift 1.75 x Bodyweight Bench Press 1.85 x Bodyweight Bench Press Close my easy #3 again MMO cert. 5'9" 180bs. 7.35" hands nearly 40 years of consistent, hard and heavy training YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/CarlDonatiJr
