Hubgeezer Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Nope. First time since those contests started that I missed it. Have something to do tomorrow, couldn't make it. I am not even sure who was going to be there. It looked like it was going to be an All Star Lineup, but you never know. I'll email Randy later see if he responds. 1 Quote

Eric Roussin Posted January 24, 2016 Author Posted January 24, 2016 Thanks for sharing these results. They use a last man standing format at these contests, and maybe the next jump in weight was just out of reach for the competitors yesterday. When I was at this contest two years ago, Alexey finished around the same spot (close to 275). It doesn't sound as though Laine Snook, Mike Burke, or Mark Felix were there. Alawadhi Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Congrats to all. I assume these rolling th7nders are harder than the previous model? Because Alexy has the WR of 331.8 pounds and this seems much lower. I assume he wasn't injured and trained for this a lot so he should be stronger. Frank Pizzo Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Congrats to everyone who competed! A little bit off subject but still on the same track: Out of curiosity does anyone know how many times Alexey has lifted over 300 in a contest? Quote "Gold medals aren't really made of gold. Eric Roussin Posted January 26, 2016 Author Posted January 26, 2016 Alexey first broke the record in Russia in 2012, but the lift was not recognized by IronMind. He then broke it again in Russia in 2013, and that time it was recognized by IronMind. This is the record that still stands. However, in the handful of times he's competed in the US, he has never lifted over 300 lbs. 4 Quote Major Grip Titles Won: 8x Canadian Nationals; 6x Visegrip Viking; 3x APL Worlds; 3x Armlifting Worlds; 3x North Americans; 2x Arnolds; 2x Armlifting World Super Series; 2x Cross-Canada; 1x King Kong; 1x Shaw Classic Founder of Canada Grip Sport / Co-Founder of the International King Kong Grip Challenge / Creator of The Armwrestling Archives

Eric Roussin Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 I think it was 320-something, but I may be wrong. I don't recall all of the details, but I know the video proof was not accepted. It's discussed in an old thread either on the GripBoard or on the IronMind forum. 1 Quote Major Grip Titles Won: 8x Canadian Nationals; 6x Visegrip Viking; 3x APL Worlds; 3x Armlifting Worlds; 3x North Americans; 2x Arnolds; 2x Armlifting World Super Series; 2x Cross-Canada; 1x King Kong; 1x Shaw Classic Founder of Canada Grip Sport / Co-Founder of the International King Kong Grip Challenge / Creator of The Armwrestling Archives
