anwnate Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Darrin, brian matrixsleeper, yori...pretty sure did. I think Eric did (especially when he sucked weight )...and maybe matt. Probably a few more. 1 Quote Current Goal: Train consistently...consistently. Eric Roussin Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 As far as I'm aware, Andrew Durniat is the heaviest man to lift double body weight in competition. 1 Quote Major Grip Titles Won: 8x Canadian Nationals; 6x Visegrip Viking; 3x APL Worlds; 3x Armlifting Worlds; 3x North Americans; 2x Arnolds; 2x Armlifting World Super Series; 2x Cross-Canada; 1x King Kong; 1x Shaw Classic Founder of Canada Grip Sport / Co-Founder of the International King Kong Grip Challenge / Creator of The Armwrestling Archives

Mikael Siversson Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Done it a couple of times when I weighed 76-77 (in training) but not at -74 as I loose strength at a faster rate in the DO Axle than just about anything else when I drop my bodyweight to the 73-74k range. Right now (at bw of 73.5-74k) I pull about 145k so about x1.95. A short term project (to be able to pull x2 on a regular basis in -74) that, once again, has turned into a longer term project. 1 Quote

The same thing happened to me when I cut to under 83kg. I pulled 343 in the contest as opposed to 356 from the year prior at under 93kg. Definitely felt like overall arm and forearm strength was sapped more quickly. The 343 was pulled at 179bw, so not terribly far off. I came to this question because my BW dropped significantly (from 98 to 87kg) and I always was far off of a double BW DO Axle DL. But now it becomes more and more and option. Also the 2HP in the 83kg seems more interesting than ever to me! But until all this is done I still have to loose some pounds and get stronger....
