Andrew Durniat has done it in the past! Also Gil Goodman was super close as I know he weighed roughly 204 and pulled 408 at NAGS last year!

Does anyone already succeeded in a double bodyweight DO Axle DL?

I did 2xBW. I weighed in at 202.5lbs that morning and pulled 409.31lbs :)

As far as I'm aware, Andrew Durniat is the heaviest man to lift double body weight in competition.

Wow, thanks for all the input guys! Very strong people around here! Keep going to get even stronger and keep sharing infos about more double BW DO Axle DLs!

Done it a couple of times when I weighed 76-77 (in training) but not at -74 as I loose strength at a faster rate in the DO Axle than just about anything else when I drop my bodyweight to the 73-74k range. Right now (at bw of 73.5-74k) I pull about 145k so about x1.95. A short term project (to be able to pull x2 on a regular basis in -74) that, once again, has turned into a longer term project.

The same thing happened to me when I cut to under 83kg. I pulled 343 in the contest as opposed to 356 from the year prior at under 93kg. Definitely felt like overall arm and forearm strength was sapped more quickly. The 343 was pulled at 179bw, so not terribly far off. (1.916)

Interesting to know! Thanks for all replies. I came to this question because my BW dropped significantly (from 98 to 87kg) and I always was far off of a double BW DO Axle DL. But now it becomes more and more and option. Also the 2HP in the 83kg seems more interesting than ever to me! ;) But until all this is done I still have to loose some pounds and get stronger....
