EJ Livesey
You've been on here for 9 years. This type of info you should know how to find. Go to cannon power works, he is a sponsor. He has some that are rated. Also the pinned thread at the top of this sub-forum called "RGC Ratings" has some zenith ratings on them.
Evan Raftopoulos
Are zenith grippers worth it? I don't need to do high reps with grippers. are they tough? I have a zenith trainer that I used to use for warmups and now mostly for rehab with patients at my work. my other zeniths are rated by CPW 2 = 98 3= 130 4 = 212 the ratings were done from the middle of the handles though not the end. From what I remember according to Matt it better represents the difficulty level of the gripper because of the handles. What I don't like is the big difference between my 3 and 4. I'd love to have couple of pre rated ones at 150-160 but I don't know if those even exist (There is no 3.5). However, if I'm not mistaken Juha had a #4 rated at 180 which is much lighter than mine. Fist of Fury
Are zenith grippers worth it? I don't need to do high reps with grippers. are they tough? No I don't think they are worth the money for the type of training you seem be planning. Personally I only use them for rehab (active rest). If you want to get strong I don't see any point in using them, normal grippers are better for that. They are good to use for static holds since they won't tear your skin off and also if your skin is severly damaged and needs to be healed. The biggest issue with them is that the ranges are very limited. The #3 is no way near a CoC#3 and the #2 is no way near a CoC#2, the #4 might be useful but you need to be very strong to be able to use it. They can be useful for practicing on setting but then again thats something you can do with other grippers as well. Zeniths are expensive, perhaps you could try the Vulcan adjustable gripper for that purpose instead.
