Ya boy is back! Just want to upload some fun, well edited training videos. Figured I would erase all doubt about my grip ability by signing up for the Mash Monster ladder.

Last week was the first time I had a real training session in years and while my grip strength is not anywhere near the strength it was back in 2012, It still felt great to get the ball rolling again.

BTW, I live in Caldwell NJ... so if anybody wants to train, hit me up.

My first video (MM0 Cert) will be uploaded this weekend when I get my 138 #3 in the mail from CPW.

Lol, yea... I tend to make bold statements.

I was originally known as SilverbackGrip. Just a young guy who could barley close a #2.5 and made a bold claim that he would close the #4 in 12 months at the Arnold Classic. After 3 months I started to close some pretty serious grippers. The problem was that I refused to cert or compete in grip competitions until the Arnold Classic (wanted to build suspense). This left some people doubting that I was even closing the grippers for real even though it was recorded perfectly on camera.

Then I injured myself a week before the Arnold Classic doing some heavy negatives.

...and then the legend was born.

I broke myself a few times too. Don't worry about it, just heal up slow. I'm very interested to see how this whole thing pans out. I'm gonna focus on grip a little more than I have in the past. Not looking to cert the 4 or anything though lol.

I live in New York and I'm a crush grip guy also. We have a good group of guys in the area. You should come out to some training sessions and comps. I would love to meet you and train grippers with you. I always found your videos super entertaining.

I just checked mapquest and it looks like we are only a little over an hr from each other. I'm in Katonah, NY

What up Chez! Damn, homeboy is out the grip game only a couple of years and when I come back, your top dog now!

I'll def have to take you up on the training offer. My grip is @ a #3 level right now but hopefully muscle memory kicks in and speeds up my progress.

I closed that 138# cold no chalk after putting reps on a couple hundred grippers and then rating about two thirds of them. In other words, it's a daisy and since deflowered. :D Keep in mind that thing is going to be about 20# short of what you need for the MM1.

Close a rated gripper other than your own in a competition in front of other witnesses that are well known to the Grip World - You Tube hero isn't going to work - not for you, not for anyone who hasn't proved their self in public.

Meet someone like Chez. Prove you aren't fake. Your "#3.5" was very doubtful. I also think they won't send MM gripper to anyone. The person should prove himself not a troll. Go on and close some grippers since you are about an hour away from Chez.

Good Luck!

You need to follow all the Mashmonster rules, etc. for submitting a video.

You got this right. And, given the circumstances of the past this will mean a trip to see Chez and we'll ask Chez to vette it out for the board. Otherwise, that MM1 is staying put.

"Member in good standing" are the key words in the rules.

Yep we don't want the board precious MM grippers get damaged by "accidents" now do we. Or maybe after proving to Chez first the first time attempting the MMG1 in front of Chez too (gripper sent to him too if he was free or any other reputable member) (this all of course after the site mods and/or Admin approval).

Again, i wish you beat of luck in your journey!
