db2000
Is it possible that use of grippers could cause or exacerbate shoulder pain? I have read a lot about various elbow, wrist and forearm relating to volume increases or imbalances of gripper usage. But I was curious if grippers could contribute to shoulder conditions. There seems to be good information about shoulder injures limiting grip strength (i.e. hurt your shoulder in a fall, grip strength will drop) but not much about grippers causing shoulder issues. Has anyone heard or experienced it the other way around? Essentially I would like my bench volume to increase but I would be worried about having to lower grippers. If such a thing exists, are movements like negatives worse? Thanks
canthar
It could exacerbate existing problems more than anything. If you did cause a wrist or elbow issue than that could cause a form issue also.
