Sledgehammer Choke Formula?

Hello,

Looking at the gripsport site and saw poundages listed for the sledge hammer choke.

Could some one please tell what formula to use to get the poundage?

For example if it says 188.00 lbs how far back would the lifters hand be from the head?

Thank you in advance

Distance x weight of sledge

Example, 8 lb sledge @ 10 inches out = 180 lbs

Really, it should say 188.0 in-lb, since they're calculating a Torque (or Moment, if you'd like).

So theoretically, an 8lb @18in (totaling 144 in-lb) would be the same as a 6lb @24in. Or a 24lb @6in, or a 144lb at 1in!
