JaredWith1R
First recorded attempts at 80# Hex lift, PR for my right hand. Apparently I have a 3/4" extra reach with my left thumb, so I got this lift down first a week ago. As you can see in the video, I can't get my right Index around to the flat, but the first chamfer is enough to get a good lift. I was able to lift the 60# Blob half right out of the box, but this is the first recorded attempt. Took me a few pulls before I could curl it, but now I can get a few reps. My right wrist cracked after the first rep, so I didn't want to push it for a 2nd rep. 80# Hex (apparently I have very emotive facial features under strain) 60# Blob Blob Curls All critiques are more than welcome. I don't own an accurate scale yet, so sorry for not weighing the blocks. I got the blob from Matrixsleeper, and it came marked with it's weight of 29 lb 11.4 oz. Question: What is the difference between blob and fatman? I own a pound side from a Pre-USA York bell, so I have been told. Verification of that is appreciated as well. Jared Goguen
Awesome stuff man! Also your #60 video is set to private and we cant see it. Your blob may be next gen and not fatman, Jedd has a few good videos on blocks and blobs.

Have fun with those blobs , If you own the York side the difference Between York blob or Fatman York Is easy to tell The york fatman would have no usa stamp on the bottom The regular would have the usa stamp The faman is thicker on the sides and sometimes weighs a bit more It looks to me like you might have the fatman I have a 60 regular blob and yours looks to be thicker on the sides For example the fatmans 100 can weigh 53 + pounds and the regular 100 york all come in right at 50 lb or so Hope that helps

JHenze646
Excellent lifts. It doesn't matter as much whether its a fatman or not from a training perspective. It more important that it is challenging and that you get stronger by lifting it. Lift it every way you can think of.

Well of course, I more didn't want to claim it was the more difficult one if I was wrong. Eventually I will be working up towards face lifts, but I'm not quite there yet. I'm also going to try to load the blob until I can get my hands on a 70# half.
