1stCoC
Gary is one strong ,tough guy. The hardest elbow shot(s) knockout I ever saw was by half a dozen blows he ( Gary)delivered in a flash in the UFC greatest knockouts video.. He also at a state fair beat supposedly 1000 men in a row arm wrestling. The other man is truly huge but The apple grip feat as I figured was with finger tips on apple. When is someone going to do it it as Mr. John Brookfield and myself commented on so many years ago as the way a potato or apple is near or impossible to crush? jvance
Yeah fingertip gouging an apple, like he did, is easy. Not even worth a feat video around Here IMO. However, I don't think straight up imploding a good size, not overly ripe apple with a true crush grip is possible except for maybe a few monsters! Eric Roussin
The 1,000 men in a row event happened on a Japanese television show 20 years ago. Gary was paid the equivalent of $14,000 to take part in the event, with the potential to win another $14,000 if he went undefeated. He successfully pinned all 1,000 men in just under two hours. His competition was motivated: the first one to pin Gary was to win the $14,000! I talked to Gary about the event, and he said they put all of the strongest guys at the end! I would have loved to have seen a peak-form Gary take on a peak-form Alan in an armwrestling match. That would have been something!
