Jose Cabrera Posted January 11, 2015 Author Posted January 11, 2015 (edited) Thanks Josh, but i think its broke, ima go to the doc and stop dickin around. Gotta grow up, sorry for the fuss bro. Edited January 11, 2015 by Jose Cabrera Quote
Anthony C. Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Definitely drop the 50 bucks and go to the doctor. He'll put a splint on it. I got mad at my ex one time and started hitting a bush (yes, a plant) and broke my ring finger. It took months to heal and is permanently bent oddly because I didn't get it looked at 1 Quote
EJ Livesey Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Jose by obvious I meant, stop hitting hard things lol. Invest in a punching bag or break some glass bottles. You need a better outlet. 1 Quote Junior steel bender in training The only limits are the ones YOU set. De-feat-ist (noun)Somebody who accepts failure as a matter of course 6'3" 258lbs of pure man
Chops Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 I've broken a total of seven metacarpals! Some more than once. These can go undetected and be very bad. Broken fingers are one thing but if it is a "boxers fracture" then you really need to see someone before it is too late. I have had two surgeries on my right hand and two pins. It is expensive, I know! Try and hit up a cheap clinic. They might be able to tell you if you should worry. To change this problem I quit bouncing and no longer punch men in the face. I would hate to see your grip training suffer, or worse. Quote COC 1&2 first try 07.04.14 COC 2.5 08.08.14 MM0 in 2014 11.07.14 MM1 in 2015
Jose Cabrera Posted January 11, 2015 Author Posted January 11, 2015 Thnak you fellas, im omw to the doc now, my finger is double its normal size, EJ youre right, I think a litle more bending will do me some good. Anthony you hit the bullseye, women SMH. Thanks for the advice Todd, i appreciate it, ill update later on what's goin on. Thanks very much gents. Quote
Rick Walker Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Just a suggestion: maybe some anger management counseling? Last time I punched something I was 19 an it was an oak bunk bed. Boxers fracture and a cast for 6 weeks. When it came off I couldnt hold onto a 400 pound deadlift. There comes a time to grow up and handle your emotions. Now I have a heavy bag and a good set of wraps and gloves and use it as a workout. Punching people in he face outside of a ring is a good way to #1-go to jail and #2-get stabbed or shot. You hit someone and an undiagnosed medical issue causes their death you're looking at 3rd degree murder and 20-40. Hope its worth it! 1 Quote "I ain't afraid to die anymore...I've done it already."
jvance Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Lotsa RICE and whatever the doc says..... If its nothin but a bad bruise or something minor I'd hit up the contrast baths once the swelling goes down. Remember the ibuprofen type stuff can mess up tendon healing so keep that in mind. Heal up quick man injuries suck I know this very well! 1 Quote Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/JVance0001?feature=mhee
PeterSweden Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 I've Broken several bones in my hand and several fingers. They all healed up without surgery. If its not crocked its usually allright. Stop punching with your fist, use palmstrikes and heavy bitchslaps instead! Works better and minimizes risk of injury 1 Quote Grip goals for 2016 - we'll see how many of these I can cross off; Grippers; Cert GHP7, CCS 140, 146, 153 and 157lbs CoC3, MMS and 20mmBS 180lbs CoC3,5. Jose Cabrera Posted January 11, 2015 Author Posted January 11, 2015 Its official, i broke my middle finger, the doctor immobilized my whole hand because its close to the joint, says i should be fine in three weeks. Thank you my friends, wouldn't have gone to the doc if not for your support and advice. 1 Quote

But yeah im really going to just focus on counseling and pooring every drop of energy into my training and get myself ready for the Throwdown 3! 1 Quote
Rick Walker Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Good man. Sometimes violence is the only answer but that is in very few situations when your life, or the life or safety of someone else is on the line. First and foremost is to avoid environments that breed confrontations. Bars, etc.... 2 Quote "I ain't afraid to die anymore...I've done it already."

king crusher Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Last time I let loose on something it was a hollow door and a long ass time ago. That door looked like a shotgun was unloaded on it at close range. Probably 15 holes. The trim around the molding even broke free. My hands looked like a shark bit them up. But because it's hollow core no real damage. Just lots of scrapes. I recommend that instead lol Quote
