climber511 Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 2015 GoalsMy goal is to spend at least 35 days actually on the rocks climbing – which means with travel etc I will have to be “out” probably close to 7 weeks this year. Seven weeks sleeping out, sitting around campfires with friends and family, looking at the night sky, loving life. I got this. Training goals – lots of them of course but mostly ones that lead to enjoying the above more. 9 Quote When people used to ask him how it was he became so incredibly strong, it was always the same, "strengthen your mind, the rest will follow". Chuck Hench Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 (edited) That sounds like fun. I've always wanted to get into climbing but never had anybody to do it with. I do have a gift card to a local climbing gym at least to get started. As far as my goals, I would like to get to closing and doing at least a few reps on the COC #3 MMS, lockout 2 25's for plate pinch, gain 10-15 pounds, and get debt free again. jvance Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 This year I would like to get a better understanding of my body's healing and adaption process. I need to focus less on immediate results and more on long term health, strength, and longevity. At 29 the time is now to implement changes before I create a mess of injuries that force me out of the game. Also would like to back in the competitions and stay under 83kg, perhaps record some new records in that class. Everything in time. 3 Quote Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/JVance0001?feature=mhee

Billy Jack Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 (edited) Be a great father and husband. Re-lose the weight I have gained back and stay healthier. Better organize my life so I can take training seriously for a change and help better accomplish the two above. Try to get local folks interested in grip and host a comp later next year. Look back at the end of the year and see that I have accomplished the above. Shoggoth Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Hit a major one a month or so back by paying off my mortgage. This year is a continue to work towards an early retirement mainly. Fitness wise; try to stay injury free. Looking at my log I got gimped up a couple of times last year from getting sloppy. I need to smarten up. Start competing as a Masters class powerlifter, make it to another good strength seminar, and travel more. 5 Quote Jason Steeves"Higher beings from outer space may not want to tell us the secrets of life, because we're not ready. Keep training and not get overly discouraged and frustrated over weak days and bad workouts, which has been my main problem for years now.
