Well done as usual Kody!!Thanks David ! Dont have any rafters around my house. It'd be nice to be able to bust out a few more of them bad boys someday. I was pleasantly surprised to nail a couple. Royz
Those rafter pull ups are insane! To me that's like doing a one arm, one finger pull up or something.
barbe705
it looked like you were using the 2 rafters next to each other, right? not ones that were further apart to get some chest squeeze involved? that's super hard core.
king crusher
Nice work on all that. I have rafters in my garage. Hmmmm might have to try. But at my weight I doubt it.

Yeah your right. No chest involvement at all. Im guessing 16 to 18 inches apart maybe. Ive seen some other guys on youtube goin a little wider. Maybe it makes it easier ? I'm not sure though. It sure felt pretty tough. Edited August 8, 2014 by kodydelone

You competing in King Kong ? Training's been pretty good, staying healthy, so I can't complain. I am competing in the King Kong, never trained a lot of the events directly so it should be fun prepping for it

Welcome Back Thanks man ! I'm trying to do it without anymore injuries this time. If I had the option to do the shoulder surgery all over again I don't think I would. Maybe for some it would be ok but for someone who can't stand to not train it is pure torture bro. If I can give you any words of advice, stay balanced in your training, warm up properly before attempting to do everything even if you feel good, don't become one dimensional, don't just do all gripper work, or pinch. Balance is the key to get the most out of grip in the shortest amount of time without the injuries. You couldn't have told me that before 2012. If you don't learn this now, the pain you are setting yourself up for will learn you in the future. Learn from me if at all possible. It's not a road I wish to go down ever again ! Best of luck in your grip training !
