jvance
Gotta give a shout to my boy Kody for helping me get where I'm at; about this time last year i was struggling to lock out 300#. This lift is up 37# from June Nationals - and even that was 12# PR at the time. Here's the video: Thanks for watching Edited February 10, 2014 by jvance

Chez
Great job Jon. I can't watch the video at the moment (at work) but that is a real good number on the axle.
Mike Sharkey
Outstanding Lift! Care to share some of what has helped you increase so drastically?
jvance
Thanks guys. Mike, first of all, Eric Milfeld correctly pointed out to me that this lift most likely wouldn't have passed go in a NAGS contest because i rebent the knees and supported the weight on the hips before i locked out. With that in mind, i don't consider this a 100% good lift, but because i missed it twice i was happy enough with it to post it (the first two weren't even close). To answer your question, I've been doing a lot of heavy wrist work; including pronation/supination, along with mixing thick bar with explosive training. A few things i do a lot are one and two handed OLY lifts and hand to hand passes with an assortment of different diameter handles. Also, Chris James' old training log is a great place to start if you want ideas for mastering thick bar. The menagerie of movements he would regularly log definitely cover all angles of hand strength and overall body strength.
