gripppman
Iwas wondering if anyone else has this problem when using the grippers. When i close my IM #1 i squeze the top handle inward towards the inside of my hand to the point of nearly not being able to the close the handles, almost like i can close it easy but i almost completly miss touching the handles from squezing it inward Do you guys know what i'm doing wrong? do i have some kind of weakness? Thanks for the help
tmmicklabs
A lot of people have that same issue when they first try the grippers. Just practice getting the right form down pat on a # T.
Sybersnott
The technique you describe sounds like rolling. Don't roll it, pull the handles straight back. If you're attempting to grind the gripper when it's closed, then rolling it is what you do. This is what Kinney does when he closes the #4 in his video. To roll a #4 gripper is unbelieveable... but he grinds it to prove that he actually is closing the gripper! Wow!!
gripppman
Thanks for the help guys, I think i just need to get used to the IM grippers. I think i picked up some tech. problems from my Ivanko SG because i held it in place with my free hand and it would allow my working hand to roll to make up for my weak grip( my wrist always wants to go backwards to close the grippers which i can't get away with on the IMgrippers)
HAMMERHEAD
The way you set it may effect the way the handles touch too. I remember slammin' a #1 farther than it should have gone because the handles were passing each other. I reset the gripper and "click". -HH
tmmicklabs
Gripmann, You got the KTA Program yet ? It's the best 20 bucks you can spend. It's the Gripper Bible.
Jonathan McMillan
I had the same problem as well when I first got the Coc's, but I wouldn't worry about it as if you shut the handles and they aren't lining up you'll be able to go beyond the range without taking a file to your gripper Jon@han
