climber511
Climber 511 - Teaching you how to learn how to learn how to teach yourself how to do the 2HP for increased Grip Sport Competition results. There are several more people out there that know as much or more than I do and I would highly suggest a visit to any of them who might live near to you. I have had good results helping people with their 2HP with what I do and the way I do it - and I am offering (for free) to help anyone who wants to visit my place for a session. Not as much of a me telling you “how to pinch” session as a “how to teach yourself” the best way for YOU to approach the event. I did not teach Kody Burns how to pinch but I like to think I showed him how to figure out himself the best way for him to do it…………………and it looks like it worked J Why you say? A couple reasons 1. Just to give back a little to show appreciation for what so many others have given me over time in this sport – and 2. Because when someone visits for this I learn as much as they do during the process (and I’d like to increase my 2HP as well) – and 3. We always end up getting a great training session in.
jvance
Well worth the trip, if you live reasonably close and want to round out your grip game - Chris is the man to see. Think of it like this; people pay thousands to get elite level coaching in their sports of choice... Olympic or powerlifting, gymnastics, crossfit or MMA. Chris is offering free sessions that have gotten gotten people from strong to world class in short time. A great opportunity for sure here!! Thanks for what you do Chris. climber511
We took Kody from 206 to 239 in a few hours. He then used it to work up, and up, and up some more! Just Saturday we got Josh Henze from 187 to 206 n a couple hours - can't wait to see what he can train up to now. I can’t remember what Jon Vance got with his visit but I imagine he does - and he also took the information and ran with it to nice contest results. Several others also. If tendinitis didn't hold my 2HP back for half of 2013 I'm sure I'd be far beyond 207... I'm expecting to break into the big leagues this year since I've cut out movement that flare my elbows. Electron
Hope this isn't a limited time offer, because I would love to visit you for some coaching in the future. Plan to be at nationals? If so, looking forward to meeting you.

I can't say enought about how helpful Chris was for me. Before I met Chris I thought that the 2 hand pinch was just pinch it and pick it up. Chris opened my eyes understanding the technique and how and where I need to consider applying pressure. Sometimes words and helpful advice can be distorted and misunderstood. Once he explained to me his understanding of the lift it seemed like the Gospel. Everything he was saying hit home. It was like I had blinders on and Chris just helped me see the areas that I was neglecting for big lifts. Something in the way he spoke made things click. I've noticed that about people and situations in life in general. Some people are really good at teaching concepts and some aren't. Some people just want to show you how smart and technical they are by talking over your head and trying to make you feel stupid as they explain something. My experience with him was well worth the 3 and half hour drive. I encourage all future 2 hand pinch competitors within driving distance to take the opportunity Chris is offering. I was humbled to say the least. The hands on training advice for me was very valuable. I am genuinely grateful for the experience ! Take advantage of a great guy offering his years of study and insight for free. You won't be disappointed. To me it is one of the single best things I've ever done that has impacted my pinch performance ! JHenze646
I don't know where to begin. Mr. Rice is a wealth of knowledge and perspective. You owe it to yourself to seize this opportunity with both hands.

I will not be attending nationals this year - my middle son is getting married that day.

Chez
Even though you live super far from me, I may take you up on this sometime later in the year Chris once my foot is fully recovered from surgery. I know my 2HP technique is really bad. I have never really learned it and I would like to so I can start pulling some big numbers.

When I 1st read it I was like what tha...?? :-D Thanks - I really don't try to tell people how to pinch - I try to teach them how to teach themselves. Who all is coming up to the Arnold with you? Even though you live super far from me, I may take you up on this sometime later in the year Chris once my foot is fully recovered from surgery. I know my 2HP technique is really bad. Chez - you certainly are strong enough - you should pull some major weight if you figure out how to use that strength.

I've climbed a bit in Utah over the years (Zion - Cottonwood Canyon - Castleton Tower and some smaller crags - it's beautiful country and awesome rock. This year it's Idaho for climbing. If you ever get back east - look me up!
paul valpreda
I will do that. What part of Idaho are you going to climb?
climber511
I will do that. What part of Idaho are you going to climb? City of Rocks for rock climbing in the SE part of the state - then maybe climb Borah Peak before going home.
climber511
Tom Scibelli visited today for a workout. We got him from a previous PR of 150# 2HP to a solid 170# and air under 180#. I think he can start figuring things out on his own now - I expect some nice gains coming up for him. He brought his 3 kids with him and they put on a pullup seminar for us. 17 for the boys and 6 for the daughter - great to see them all working out together.
