austinslater
Had my first go at thick bar in years. Went 306x3, 326x1, 348 miss. Hopefully the picture attached but it's a homemade axle with multiple pipes over a regular bar and the I put the collars back on. Not sure how it compares to a regular axle if it'd easier or harder. If there is a better way to do this I would love any suggestions. If anyone has a real axle I would trade or buy it as well.

IROC-Z
As long as the pipes don't spin on the bar that's underneath, I would think this setup should work just fine. I have several homemade axles and my favorite one is just a piece of 2" CRS with some collars welded on it. I also had it ground and polished to make it extra slippery. Works great and it was CHEAP. austinslater
There is a little bit of give but it doesn't spin. It's probably close enough (10-20lb) at most and the size is similar so progress on it is progress on the real axle. It's schedule 40 fence pipe and pretty slick. austinslater
Will probably just go buy a 7 ft. Piece and Fox collars to make sure it's similar. Would love a real axle though. Thanks!
