Jedd Johnson
I just saw this in the Total Performance Sports Newsletter, so I figured I would post it here. Sorry Chris, for the blatant example of gimmick infringement... Merry GRIPmas Merry GRIPmas everyone, yes I said GRIPmas. Please join us on December 23rd from 6:00pm to 7:00pm for an evening of friendly grip competitions. All skill and strength levels are encouraged to join (grip contests are not just for those with gorilla mitts or professional strongmen), you may very well have a stronger grip than you think. We will have multiple levels for both men and women to try their hand at various events. Bring a buddy down and challenge them to some friendly competition and see where you stack up against fellow members and TPS staff. Here are some of the events we have available: -Plate pinches -Hub lift -Sledgehammer leveraging -Pull ups with fat grips, rolling thunder handles, ropes, mace balls -Blob lift and blob juggling -Bumper plate flips -DB w/fat grips -Thomas inch DB -Double overhand Axle and 3" Bar deadlift We will conclude the day with a last man/woman standing rolling thunder competition. Plus, as a bonus if anyone is able to beat me (Eric Dawson) in the Rolling Thunder contest he will get two months of your membership FREE! WE will also have other prizes for various feats of strength. This is a very informal event that is designed to be FUN. Don't worry if you are not a GripMaster. Come down and try it out. And another thing: We are asking anyone entering to give us a $5.00 donation. 100% of the funds we collect will go directly to Dante Polito of the extended TPS family. Dante is my good friend Dave's son and he is going through cancer treatment at Dana Farber. Dante's family has an account set up to offset his medical expenses which are astronomical! Every little bit helps. We hope to see you there, Have a Merry GRIPmas, Murph and TeamTPS Total Performance Sports | 68 Vine Street | Everett | MA | 02149 http://www.totalperformancesports.com
