Sam, Black gripper? I don't recall a black one in the last group. There was one I sent that was a late 80s. Tetting that was steel that and painted a bright gold for my then young son to take to show and tell at school. The gripper was a total monster wide and super hard. Years after, Bert went to college he brought it with him to his athletic "animal house "filled with some world class and Olympian athletes. the gripper was tried by everyone but with no luck. As I mentioned before one titan of young strength Kevin Mannon worked and worked and finally closed it. He was amazingly strong. When handed a later IM #3 gripper he closed like a toy while laughing and drinking a beer.

Much more to come! Now, moving and refining that mass of iron WAS some kind of workout! It was a very fulfilling introspective time going back to my very roots in strength and grip. You have to live it not speak it!
