Bearcat 74
I can and do listen to everything from Bluegrass up to the rough stuff but I think most of us here probably like some sound when we train. Myself, I tend to make it really loud and will run anything with a good beat. I like pretty much anything AC/DC, Metallica, Jackyl, SOil, Zombie, G and R, Rammstein, Pantera, a lot of Disturbed, some StoneSour. I have been known to break out my inner pimp limp with some Eminem, POD, and House of Pain when the mood strikes. I'm always looking for new tunes. What are some groups or songs that you like to train to? Post'em up!!
Billy Jack
Add Danzig to your hard stuff list. Also Black Flag or anything early Henry Rollins associated. Edited June 6, 2013 by Billy Jack
Geralt
Try 'Globus' with the song 'Preliator' when getting pumped for a PR for whatever when training! haha Further: Editors, Disturbed, 'Pretty handsome awkward' by 'The used' and just a lot in between whatever I feel like actually. My I call Fleetwoord Mac and Dire Straits? haha
Bearcat 74
I forgot Danzig and Rollins, loves me some Step Back. Fleetwood Mac? Sure I rekon. I'm listening to Goldbrickin' by Del McCoury right now so Fleetwood Mac would work
Mephistopholes
Well, I don't listen to music when I lift anymore. Music I choose at least. I found that a) the earphones get in the way and b) I like the music so much that I focused on it instead of the lifting! So now I dont listen to music when I lift. At first I hated the godawful pop music they play at the Y, but then I found it actually helped me. Reason being, it sucks, and I hate it, so I'm not interested in listening to it. Because of that, I tune it out and focus more on the lifts. And when im at home, all I listen to is the sound of the Iron clanging around. But, when I listened to music while I lifted, my three general go-to bands were: (in no particular order) 1) The Jesus Lizard - they always made me feel like a bulldozer. 2) Lightning Bolt- one of my favorite living bands. Always got my fired the hell up. Noise is the best! 3) Queens of the Stone Age - like the Jesus Lizard, but more melodic.

IROC-Z
I agree with your choice of Rammstein, they're great for PR attempts! Older stuff: Iron Maiden AC/DC Fastway Newer stuff: Nickelback Linkin Park Pop Evil

Eric Roussin
I don't listen to music while I train, but I do usually watch TV. I tend to watch a lot of shows that are on SpikeTV. I figure why not kill a few brain cells while I strengthen my body.

It would be pretty interesting to do a workout while listening to noise such as Merzbow or Masonna .. KTA Blob 2 with Merzbow on for a couple of hours.. Haha dont get me wrong though, some of my favorite music is in the label noise music. I think much of the less extreme variants, would make good music to workout til.
