speedy
For those that have been using them awhile. If I were to get a pair, and use them on the dumbbells at the gym which would require repeated putting on and off, do they break down faster? They are designed to improve grip strength by making the bar thicker, correct? Anything else I should know that I wouldn't find in an Amazon Customer Review? Oh one last thing, the person that gave it 2-stars on Amazon said for that price he only received one, but if you look at their (FatGripz) website, it says they come in pairs for $39. Which is it? Jedd Johnson
You get 2 in your order, definitely. They come packaged in a plastic bag (or at least the FG Extremes do). I have a couple of review videos up on my site. Fat Gripz Extreme: http://www.dieselcrew.com/some-grip-strength-product-reviews Various Types of Instant Thick Bar Handles: http://www.dieselcrew.com/equipment-review-instant-fat-bar-handles The reason these things work is because they make the handle instantly thicker which tests your grip strength more than a narrow bar. I always tell people this: If you just want to get your hands stronger in a general sense, get the basic Fat Gripz, especially if you have small or average hands. If you have big hands or really want to test your strength, go with the Extremes. The other thing you have to remember is that the weight you pull will go down with thicker grips. As far as how long they last? I have used the FG Extremes every week since January and for several weeks in a row prior to December. I don't see how any of these could break except for if someone was literally trying to pull them part excessively far or if they got the worst luck in history and got a faulty pair. In that case, I wouldn't be surprised if you could write the company and get them replace, but I have NEVER heard of that happening. Hope this helps. Justin Matney
Yeah and they've been known to replace sets for people who had theirs stolen. seems like a great operation all around. Geralt
I have had the Fatgripz Extreme now for a while and they are superb. A great addition to your workout stuff. I also like to do pressing work with them, putting them on my EZ bar for close grip bench and also for regular benching. Much more comfy. Although, I have to be honest, I can't seem to get the comfortable with them for straight bar deadlifts and straightbar shoulderpresses. Then I prefer just mu homemade thickbar. It has to do with the width of these things. But that's personal maybe. Oh and, dumbbell wristcurls are much more comfortable with these things. Buy them! speedy
Thanks guys. Since my life went side track for a few years, I am slowly getting myself back to where I was a few years ago: strength, grip, and conditioning. So I decided to get the Blue ones for now, and go with the Extremes later on. I used to do towel and rope pull-ups as my grip training and that worked really well so hoping this works just as well too.
