Mephistopholes
So I just woke up with a crazy feat in my mind. I don't even know if it's possible, but I figure that If it can be done by somebody, that somebody has got to be on here... So here's the feat: Get a live oyster, still closed in it's shell, and open the shell. ONLY USING YOUR HANDS. No knife, just pry that sucker open with your mitts. Oysters have a strong grip; I wanna see if it can be over powered by some of the grip monsters on here. aaaaaaand go!
GatorGrip
Being a Floridian I have been shucking and eating oysters my entire life (opening with a knife or screwdriver) unless one has a hell of a thumbnail to get in the crevice to pry it open or the oyster's seal is extremely weak either by it being steamed or it going totally bad I doubt this will be done...Cool sounding feat of strength but I will be shocked if it is carried out in a legit way-Oysters hold their prized meat or an exceptionally rare pearl inside with a vengeance. GOOD LUCK if anyone considers trying this one for sure!
Mephistopholes
Haha that is exactly why I suggested it I love eating raw oysters, so I know how hard it can be just to get them open by shucking. It may be impossible, but if anyone can do it, they've got some seriously strong hands. I think the way to go about it would not be to try and pry it, so much as push the shell back with the thumbs... Like, put the thumbs at the opening and push the top as if you were trying to slide it off... It's definitely a hell of a feat if it can be done. and if it can't be done, no shame in trying. haha.
