EricMilfeld
I remember discussing this with you guys but forget what, or if, we decided with regards to vacant world records in the non-masters weight divisions. For example, there are no records in the 59k class, so would any amount of weight qualify as a world record? Also, is NAGS no longer keeping world records for the Ironmind Hub lift in the various weight classes? The answers to both these questions factor heavily in The Show of Hands in March. Thanks! Oh, and is the minimum by which a world record must be broken still one-tenth of a kilo? I couldn't find these questions addressed in the rules book, but I am pretty tired. David Horne
Eric, Q - For example, there are no records in the 59k class, so would any amount of weight qualify as a world record? A - Yes Q - Also, is NAGS no longer keeping world records for the Ironmind Hub lift in the various weight classes? A - I don't about this, but the other guys will be able to answer this. Q - Oh, and is the minimum by which a world record must be broken still one-tenth of a kilo? I couldn't find these questions addressed in the rules book, but I am pretty tired. A - I don't believe any minimum number was sorted out, so a record is broken by a larger number. Hope this helps, and good luck with the comp. Cannon
For new WRs, I thought it was decided that lifts would have to be .5kg higher and .25kg higher for GripTopz. If I recall, and I'll probably get this slightly wrong, but it didn't take long for this to play out to Mikael's chagrin. Like in the 105kg 1HP category, I think Matti took the top spot, but not by enough and therefore was not awarded the record. I'm on my iPod but i'll try and find links. Maybe I am recalling an informal rule that was never placed by the IGC.
Cannon
http://www.gripboard.com/index.php?showtopic=38044&p=534862 Maybe this was a NAGS thing..?
David Horne
Matt, The IGC voted on the 0.5/0.25k rule back in Feb 2012, and voted No to this rule. The IGC then was Aaron, Jedd, Chris, Eric Milfeld and myself. We deliberated the subject a lot. David
Cannon
Thank you David. I am relieved to hear this! I've missed getting a a few records due to picking a weight that met the minimum. No minimum is great.

bwwm
Aaron has the IM Hub records here: http://www.gripsport.org/lists.php?list=3&gender=1&event=14&country=all&measurement= Seems like WRs and CWRs are being kept, if I'm not mistaken. Yeah, I saw that, but I thought there was recently discussion of not keeping IM hub records any longer. I'd like to see a standardized NAGS hub event. Yeah, I saw that, but I thought there was recently discussion of not keeping IM hub records any longer. I'd like to see a standardized NAGS hub event. Maybe you are thinking about the IM Silver Bullet. That is the event we are no longer tracking for the lists. IM hub is fine, it has just been extremely rarely contested. The existing performances on the list are from one sanctioned contest that contested it last year and were with the newest version of the IM Hub. - Aaron

Ok great, sounds like we are good to go on the Hub then. Thanks a bunch!
