lifesnotfair Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 naturalstrength: those are pretty hard! But I gotta tell you, you need some work to do to post this in the Gripboard Because Tommy Heslep has an old video of him getting into the top possition, raising one hand and one leg, and closing a #3... then switching hand/leg off/on the floor, crushes a potatoe.... whilist in the top of this Superman possition. I love how he said "this is hard by the way" in that video, lol. Props to you because those are hard! Quote
Mike Rinderle Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Very cool Carl! Just watching those made my shoulders scream. Falling on the ice in a hockey game in that pose dislocated my right shoulder and tore my rotator cuff. Finished the game, but it was less than pleasurable. I can't imagine doing those. Great stuff as usual. Quote This grip stuff will make you a god damned sexual Tyrannosaurus, just like me.
naturalstrength Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 Thanks guys! This video is the first time I have ever tried these. They are fun and I think I can work up to sets of 10-15 reps of these in a few weeks. Quote -Carl Ansara http://www.youtube.com/user/naturalstrength1

naturalstrength Posted October 19, 2011 Author Posted October 19, 2011 My 80 year old wrestling coach could do these. How many 20 year olds do you know that can do these?? It's case in point that the 'old timers" knew how to train, and most importantly how to keep "functional strength" alive and well into their later years. The youth of today are lazy, obese, and more interested in the life of Brittany spears. Unfortunate really....! Quote -Carl Ansara http://www.youtube.com/user/naturalstrength1
Apekiller Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 (edited) I can do the Jack Lalane pushups, they don't seem that difficult for some reason. I also have a wheel and find doing exercises with it much more difficult (it's murder for your lower back). Been trying to do these for a few months now, but no success yet : This guy also has a tutorial video on how to advance progressively, it's not at all as easy as it looks.
